Philips distributes DVD+R v0.90 specs


Distribution of the DVD+R Physical and Video Format specifications Version 0.9 September 2001. It contains the requirements for the mechanical, physical and optical characteristics of 120 mm recordable optical discs with a capacity of 4.7 Gbytes and 9.4 Gbytes. The Physical Specifications indicate the quality of the recorded and unrecorded signals, the format of the data and the recording method, thereby allowing for information interchange by means of such discs. The Video Format Specifies the requirements of the DVD+R Video Format intended for home video recording on DVD+R media. DVD+R Video discs are playback compatible with most DVD-Video players.
