TDK Corporation will participate in the CEATEC JAPAN 2001 exhibition held over the five days from October 2 to 6 in Nippon Convention Center (Makuhari Messe).

The theme of TDK's booth will be "Introducing the Next." The booth will use easy-to-understand visuals and highly-visible exhibit displays to explain what kinds of electronics devices will be used in a variety of different life scenes permeated by information technology in the near future of three to five years from now. The booth will explain how TDK technologies and products will be involved in those scenes.
Highlights of the TDK Booth: DVR Blue high-capacity optical discs: DVR Blue high-capacity optical disc utilizes a blue laser to achieve 23-GB of storage capacity in a disc with the same 12-cm diameter as a DVD disc and data transmission speeds of 35 Mbps, the world's highest levels.
