Ricoh Japan announced yesterday the DVD+RW MP5120A CD-R/W/DVD+RW recorder and the Ricoh DVD+RW media for data/audio. The Ricoh MP5120 is a super combo drive that supports all CD writing/re-writing formats and the promising DVD+RW format. Drive's price is expected around 60.000 Yen (500$) and the DVD+RW media (for data) around 1500 Yen (12$). There will be 2 types of DVD+RW media, one for data and for video (with higher price due to copyrights). No information is yet known about the drive's arrival in Europe/rest of the world.
