Megan Media to boost CD-R production


"...Megan Media is reportedly set to invest nearly $15.8 million (RM 60 million) to boost production of CD-Rs from its current output of 1.5 million pieces per month to 4.5 million pieces per month by February. The company also produces video and audio cassette tapes, floppy tapes, floppy diskettes, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW, and DVD-RAM.

According to published reports, company officials announced the investment plan this week after signing an agreement with Etronics Corporation under which Megan will manufacture and supply blank data storage media products for three years. The agreement is expected to boost Etronics' sales by 20 percent in the first year and 10 percent annually thereafter..."
