Samsung announce new CDR-W/DVD-ROM models


"...Samsung has announced a series of four new optical disc drives that feature high speeds and, on one of the units, cross-platform compatibility.

* SM-316B (CDR-W/DVD combo drive):
16x writing, 10x re-writing, 40x reading and 12x DVD-ROM

* SW-216B (CDR-W drive)
16x writing, 10x re-writing, 40x reading

* SD-616F (DVD-ROM):
16x DVD-ROM

* SC-512L (CD-ROM):
52x reading

All four drives are scheduled to hit the Korean market in August, said Samsung. Plans for launching the drives overseas have not yet been determined..."
