"DVD+RW" demonstrated in Japan


".Ricoh's DVD+RW media and drive!..SONY, Thomson multimedia, HP, Mitsubishi chemistry, Yamaha, Ricoh and Philips gathered and demonstrated the DVD+RW format for the first time in Japan. The manufacturers showed playing back of DVD+RW disk with usual DVD player (from Matsushita). Each company is member of the DVD forum, but both the DVD+RW has become the individual standard which does not have relationship with the DVD Forum.
