Plextor USA opens On-Line store!

Plextor USA has launched today their on-line store. You can now buy your favorite Plextor CDR-W/Media/software products directly from Plextor. The Plextor Shop sells most of Plextor product line (yes including Plextor PX-40TS):

- PX-W1610A for $309.00
- PX-W1210TA/SW for $269.00
- PX-40TS for $119.00

If you are ready to buy 10 Plextor drives you will have a discount in the drive's price (PX-W1610A -bare drive<) cost $2,960.00.

Here is an interesting part from the copywrite page:
"...Plextor will only ship to U.S. locations. All prices do not include charges for shipping and handling, and taxes. Separate charges for shipping and handling will be shown on the invoice..."

This move from Plextor shouldn't surprise you since already other manufacturers (as Ricoh) sell their products direct to the users. HOWEVER Plextor prices are way overrated than the one you can find with a simple search over Price Watch. We looked today and found the PX-W1610A starting from 232$! We wouldn't mind saving those extra 77$ for media :)
