JVC shows CD-R/CDR-W decks in CES


"...The cutting-edge XL-R5010BK offers a triple tray CD Changer with a single CD-R/RW; little sister XL?R2010BK offers one tray each of CD and CD-R/RW combination recording. With the XL-R5010BK CD/CDR Multiple Compact Disc Recorder, users have ultimate control with the ability to program from up to three CDs in a triple-tray changer, mix in voice from a microphone, optical digital or line jacks, and record the results on an extremely versatile, built-in CD-R/RW recorder. A K2 Interface provides higher-quality sound than ever before.

Music aficionados will love the numerous recording capabilities. Options galore include creating CD-to-CD-R/CD-RW synchronous recordings, 4-times high-speed recording, 1-disc recording and 1-track recording, which makes mixing your own CDs a breeze. JVC’s industry-unique pitch control (plus or minus 12%) lets DJs and music lovers add special pitch effects to accentuate the positive. Other recording features include auto/manual track marking, the ability to erase last track/all tracks, auto recording mute, track skip write and running optimum power calibration (OPC).

JVC’s XL-R2010BK CD/CDR Multiple Compact Disc Recorder offers many of the high-end features and functions of the XL-R5010BK in a 1-CD and 1-CD-R/CD-RW Combination Recorder. Included are 4x high-speed CD to CD-R synchro-dubbing, mix and record (CD with Line, Line with Mic, Mic with CD), CD pitch control, optical/coaxial input and output, CD to CD-R/RW Synchro-Rec with One-touch Rec. (1 disc/1 track), Edit Rec. (listening/program), and a sampling rate converter.

Finally, JVC’s XL-R910SL Optional Mini CD-R/CD-RW Recorder packs a multitude of features in a 10-11/16-inch wide deck. An optional CD recorder for the MX Series, this unit offers Program/repeat play, Synchro-Rec. (digital all tracks/digital 1 track), Rec. level control (analog in), 2x Finalize/ Unfinalize and full-function Remote Control unit. Inputs and outputs include Optical Digital input/output, Coaxial digital output and Line input/output.

The XL-R5010BK will be available in March 2001 at a Nationally Advertised Value of $550.00. The XL-R2010BK will be available in June 2001 at a Nationally Advertised Value of $500.00. JVC’s XL-R910SL will be available in April 2001 at a Nationally Advertised Value of $550.00..."
