Matsushita's DVD multi-drive finally hits the market!

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. announced that decided to start the sales of an ATAPI built-in type DVD multi-drive "LF-D521JD" on December 14th. One month later, the external USB2.0 "LF-D560JD" will also hit the market. The DVD Multi drive supports 2X DVD-R, 2X DVD-RW, 2X DVD-RAM, 12X CD-R, 8X CD-RW, 32X reading (CD) and 12X reading (DVD). Lastly it supports buffer underrun for both CD/DVD formats with the name "SmoothLink"...The price of the internal model is estimated at 35.000Yen, while the external at 40.000 Yen.
