HTC Desire 530 Hits The U.S. Market

HTC brings its affordable Desire smartphone to the US. The Desire 530 offers mid-range specifications and a top-end design for as little as $179 unlocked.

The slim handset features a 5-inch 720p HD display, 16GB of on-board storage plus a quad-core 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 working with 1.5GB of RAM.

Those numbers aren't particularly impressive but the handset's camera setup could well be enough to snag cost-conscious consumers.

The front-facing camera offers a decent 5 megapixels plus auto focus and is optimized for selfies. For example users can activate the shutter with a voice command. The back features an 8-megapixel unit.
