"...Hot on the heels of Sony's MVC-CD1000 announcement yesterday, Traxdata, Europe's leading CD-R Company, has announced a new Photo CD-RTM, the perfect product to facilitate this fantastically exciting piece of imaging equipment. This latest progression in optical storage technology has got the whole media industry buzzing, the ability to use CD-R's within digital cameras will have a major impact on a huge number of businesses and private users. From its newly launched Headquarters in High Wycombe Traxdata is building a worldwide distribution network, which will make the Traxdata brand accessible across the globe.

Although Sony's camera will not be in stores until early August the new Traxdata Photo CD-RTM will be on the market before it arrives. Always fast on their feet this energetic young company has a reputation for high quality digital optical storage media and is Europe's largest volume seller. The 8cm CD-R has actually been around for some time but facilitating digital imaging equipment is the first real application for the product. Digital cameras which rely on floppy discs have proved an extremely popular choice with consumers across the spectrum, a camera which uses CD-R's could have even broader appeal.."
