Teac goes with FireWire and ships CD-RW5040I


TEAC Japan announces shipping of the new external CD-RW5040I / CD-RW5040IP. CD-RW5040I is IEEE-1394 external drive. It is based on the TEAC CD-W54E and will start shipping at middle of July. The package will include the drive (CD-RW5040I), ASUS IEE-1394 PCI firewire card (PCI-1394C) and DV editing software (Ulead VideoStudio4 SE).

Specs:
4x write, 4x re-write, 32x reading
Buffer 2MB
A maximum data transfer speed: 400MB/sec.
Connector form:IEEE1394 6pin x2

Attached Writing software:
- BHA's "B's Recorder GOLD" (For Win& Mac)
- BHA's "B's Clip" (For Win) Packet-Writing Software
