As it seems music industry tries to protect AudioCDs by increasing the prices for CD blanks (Source in german language):

"..The German music industry agreed with the manufacturers of blanks on a delivery, which is to consider to the increasing use of the disks for copies of music CDs. This communicated the Federal association of the Phonographic economy on its yearly press conference.."
