"MP3/DeCSS/Software Piracy Solution"

Snapped from the CDfreaks :

Once again a company claims to have solved the piracy problem. Check out a piece from their press-release

"Playapp.com" , a newly formed Dallas company will be unveiling this week at the SXSW 2000 Film/Interactive/Music Tradeshow in Austin, TX, its patented solution to the widespread problem of MP3, DeCSS, and software piracy occurring on the Internet..."

- CDRinfo's comment:

Anyone said "Been there, seen this, done that"?

And please let us know:

Will the new copy-protection scheme prohibit a Windows user from saving the original WAV file onto harddisk by simply using a "virtual" sound-card driver like "Total Recorder"? (I think the DeCSS story will be repeated, provided PlayApp will prove iself able to attract artists/customers... to this product:-)
