Sanyo CRD-BP2 CDR-W

Sanyo released their second 12x write, 4x re-write and 32x read speed drive callsed CRD-BP2. It also seems to using the new BURN-Proof technology which all found out from Nero 4.0.8.0 press release.. "..Buffer Under RuN–Proof, or just plain BURN-Proof, is set to Rewrite all the books on CD Recording by introducing the ultimate safeguard for anyone making audio or data CD's. It completely recovering the Buffer Under Run Error by connecting the error points, where the actual error had occurred. Therefore there is no write error, and no link area with perfect data protection.."

Sanyo also sell LSI with Burn-Proof Techonology to other manufactures. Since again the page is in japanese language could't read more info.. (Thanks Yamada Masataka for the news..)

SRD-BP2 Specifications (CRD-BP2 will be selling Feb 2000 in Japan)
InterFace:Scsi-3
Buffer :2MB (Not! 4MB)
Write Speeds : CDR x12 , x8, x4, x2, x1 (x6 is not support) CD-RW x4, x2, x1

If we guess correct newest Plextor 12/4/32 will NOT include Burn-Proof technology since nothing mentioned on Plextor's homepage.. :(
