TEAC Ships New 4x4x32 CDR-W & Portable 24x CD Rom..


"..TEAC today announces it will ship the new 4X4X32 CDR-W Drive (CD-W54E) with IDE/ATAPI interface. It has 2MB data bufffer and an MTBF (mean time between failure) of 100,000 POH (power on hours). The 4X4X32 is available at an MSRP of $249.00.

TEAC also today announced the industry's lightest 24X Portable CD-ROM drive (CD-224PE) for subnotebook and notebook computers. The 24X Portable CD-ROM drive will begin shipping in December at an MSRP of $199.00.."
