Adaptec Introduces SoundStream CD-R Software

"..Adaptec's new SoundStream CD recording software allows users to create a play list by selecting one or more songs from their hard drive or CD and then burning up to seventy-four minutes of music by clicking the record button.
SoundStream, an entry-level version of Adaptec's Easy CD Creator converts MP3 and WAV files to CD audio, permitting users to create CDs that can be played at home, in the car, or on a portable CD player. Arboretum Systems, which can be used to enhance built-in high-quality special effects, comes packaged with SoundStream.
SoundStream includes support for CDDB, the online Disc Recognition Service used to create custom CD labels, and provide artist name, CD title, and song information. SoundStream will be available in early fall 1999 and has an MSRP of $49 with a $10 mail-in rebate.."
