Pan Technology and Media Morphics Team-up to Present CopyLok


"..The Media Morphics division of Toolex International in conjunction with Pan Technology have announced a new copy protection solution, the CopyLok system for CDs. CopyLok allows CD-ROMs to be manufactured that can't be duplicated by home recorders, other systems using non-SCMS CD-R discs, or by mass replication in plants. It also prevents copyrighted material from being transmitted over the Net.
To master CopyLok discs, a special version of Media Morphics' CD Data Processor (CDDP-2, CDDP-4, or CDDP-MSH) is required. CopyLok technology allows a publisher to embed a watermark onto a CD-ROM during manufacturing and provides software to detect the watermark's presence on genuine CD-ROMs.."
