"..Having experimented and delved deeper into the subject I have come to the conclusion that both Samsung + Philips are producing sub-standard cdr's . Both these discs have a very light background (unlike Verbatim for example) and have proved impossible for any psx over 12 months old to read, and there seems to be a general lightening of cdrs through the industry. Are these just my observations in the u.k. or is this practice more widespread ?.."
