USB 2.0 controller for flash disks – the SiS150 by SiS (2)

According to the chip vendor, the SiS150 is the first of its kind to be fabricated using 0.18-micron CMOS technology and has the industry’s thinnest form factor and consumes less power than competing chip solutions. Under dual-channel mode, the SiS150 can achieve a read speed of up to 18MB/s and a write speed of up to 13MB/s, making it the fastest USB flash disk controller on the market, the company said.

The chip supports up to 4GB of storage space, and its internal architecture combines an 8-bit CPU that supports 8032-compatible instruction-sets, with RAM and ROM. In addition, the SiS150 integrates SiS’s proprietary USB 2.0 PHY and voltage regulator, as well as providing support for an LED indicator
