Toshiba Singapore has announced the addition of two new Portégé models to its range of ultraportables family

Toshiba Singapore has announced the addition of two new Portégé models to its range of ultraportables family. The new Portégé R100 and M100 Series feature Intel Centrino mobile technology including an Intel Pentium M processor (ultra low-voltage 1.00GHz processor for the Portégé R100, and a low-voltage 1.20GHz processor for the Portégé M100), and Intel Pro Wireless Network Connection 802.11b technology.

The Portégé R100 weighs 1.09kg and features a 1.8-inch 40GB hard disk, 12.1-inch polysilicon display and flexible Lithium-Ion Polymer battery in a sleek and compact design. The new Portégé M100 Series includes a massive 40GB hard disk and integrated DVD-ROM or CD-RW/DVD-ROM optical disk drive with options for a DVD burner.

The Portégé R100 and M100 also incorporate a broad range of connectivity options including integrated WiFi (IEEE 802.11b), 10/100 Ethernet. Each also includes two USB 2.0 ports to support the higher I/O bandwidth requirements. In addition, both the Portégé series also include ConfigFree software so that users can troubleshoot network issues for hassle-free connectivity.
