Samsung Releases The 7-inch Galaxy Tab3 Lite

Samsung expands its Galaxy Line Tab3 line with the Galaxy Tab3 Lite (7"), combining the experience of the Galaxy Tab3 series with a slimmer, more portable design.

The Galaxy Tab3 Lite (7") sports a light-weight design with a more compact bezel. The device is poered by a 3,600mAh battery that provides users with up to eight hours of video playback without the need for an adapter. The Galaxy Tab3 Lite's 7-inch display comes with a resoluton of 1024 X 600 pixels, and the menu bar is situated on the device's bezel, rather than on the screen, in order to maximize the Galaxy Tab3 Lite's wide screen experience.

The Galaxy Tab3 Lite (7") uses an 1.2GHz Dual Core processor and also hosts a two megapixel rear-facing camera with features including Smile Shot, which enables the camera to automatically shoot when a smile is detected, Shoot & Share that enables users to share images right after they are captured, and Panorama Shot so that users can capture complete images of landscapes.

The device is also packed with Samsung Apps and Samsung Link, which allows users to share & play content across smart devices.

Samsung's low-end, 7-inch slate doesn't exactly boast market-leading specs, and unless it comes in a cheap price, it would be hard to survive in the crowded budget tablet market. The full 8GB Galaxy Tab 3 retails for $200, so the Lite model will have to sell at a more appealing price to win over buyers.
