Facebook Considers Adding A 'sympathise' Button

Facebook believes that the "Like" button is not enough as it may add a new "sympathise" button in the future.

For instance, if a user selected a negative emotion from Facebook's list of feelings in a status update, then the "like" button would change to "sympathise".

The new button was part of an internal Facebook project and there are no plans to launch it, at least for now, Facebook said at a Facebook hackathon event.

Facebook hackathons are events where the company's engineers get together and brainstorm new ideas.
