Today Lenovo revealed its financials for its fiscal Q2 in 2013. The Chinese PC maker posted a 36 percent year-over-year growth in its net profit in the third quarter, with demand for the company's smartphones and tablets continuing to outpace shipments for its PC products.

The firm also brought in $9.8 billion in revenue, marking a 13 percent annual increase.

Lenovo posted a record 29 million devices sold in the quarter. The company's PC shipments for the second fiscal quarter were 14.1 million units, making it the fastest growing of the top five PC vendors.

The company continues to diversify its business.
