Yahoo on Monday dropped the "classic" version of Yahoo Mail and replaced it with a new interface, through which Yahoo is able to scan the content of all email correspondence.
The mail analysis feature, which has been available since December 2012, will enable Yahoo to target ads more effectively.
The new version of Yahoo Mail is also less cluttered and common whether used on the web or via a mobile app. Besides the simple appearance, the new interface is faster, with fewer buttons to click on. The search engine has also been improved and provides an autocomplete feature for the input of contacts.
