LG To Make Nexus 5 Phone

LG Electronics is said to be the maker of Google's next Android smartphone, the Nexus 5.

According to a Korea Times report, LG is developing the follow-up to the Nexus 4 handset, which was unveiled in November.

The report claims that LG is trying to build on its partnership with Google in order to gain a greater involvement with Google TV, Google's smart TV and set-top box platform. According to the report, executives from LG and Google have discussed the development and launch for a Google-LG OLED TV and of LG becoming involved in the Google Glass project.

Previously, Motorola had been widely tipped to be the next Nexus phone maker.
