NEC Launches Ultra-slim LaVie X Ultrabook In Japan


NEC today announced the release of the LaVie X, a 15.6-inch notebook that is just 12.8mm thick and weighs just 1.59kg.

The Windows 8 notebook has a 15.6-inch full HD IPS panel and a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Under the hood is an Intel Core i7-3517U processor clocked at 1.9GHz, a a 4GB RAM (support PC3-12800, dual-channel) and a 256GB SATA 3.0 SSD. Other features include a 2-megapixel web-camera, two USB 3.0 ports, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, an SDXC slot, and HDMI support. It's battery can be fully charged in less that 1 hour and is able to power the device for about 7 hours, according to NEC.



The LaVie X will be available this coming December 27th in the Japanese market.
