WD Releases 8TB My Book Live Duo NAS Server


WD today announced the availability of a 8TB RAID-capable dual-bay NAS server, the My Book Live Duo.

The My Book Live Duo is the dual-bay version of the single-volume 6TB My Book Live model.

My Book Live Duo features two 3.5-inch hard drives and supports both RAID 1 and RAID 0 configurations. The top 8TB capacity is available only in the RAID 0 setup. For RAID 1 setups and added piece of mind, the My Book Live Duo's cap is 4TB.

The My Book Live Duo is compatible with both Windows computers and Macs and offers storage for both local-network and remote users via the Internet. The server comes with WD mobile apps for Android and iOS devices.

The new storage device is available now at an estimated price of $660.
