Disney to Close Online Store

The Walt Disney Co. is shutting down its Web movie service, Disney Movies Online.

The company said that the website wasn't keeping up with user demands and that it would be closed as of Dec. 31.

The site allowed visitors to buy and rent movies from the Disney/Pixar library. Owners of physical discs could also stream the movies from the website.
