Acer has just unveiled a new all-in-one (AIO) desktop, the Veriton Z2650G-UG645X featuring a 20-inch widescreen LED display and the convenience of the Windows 8 Pro and Windows 7 Professional operating systems.

Designed for commercial environments, the Veriton Z2650G features a 20-inch widescreen LCD display with a 1600 x 900 resolution and 5ms response time. It has also TPM 1.2 compliant hardware, which conforms to corporate-level security requirements. It also comes outfitted with Acer Proshield, a single client console application, which integrates security and management features in a unified user interface. It has an encrypted hidden drive for confidential personal files, a file shredder to abolish sensitive content from the system, and a BIOS import and export tool that streamlines system management. In addition, Acer's One-Button Recovery (OBR) function makes it easy to back up and/or restore data. If the PC's operating system files are lost or damaged, the recovery process can restore the Veriton's original factory default settings or to the last system backup.

Wake-on-LAN supports enables IT professionals to turn the systems on and off remotely, while the Veriton ControlCenter utility suite features:

- Acer Client Manager to deploy software and control users' systems remotely
- Acer eSettings Management to track and store users' software preferences
- QuickMigration to update and transfer personal data from one PC to another using a common network cable
- SmartBoot to automatically load frequently used programs in the system tray at start-up

The systems provide performance with an Intel Pentium G645 processor (2.9GHz) and 4GB DDR3 SDRAM upgradeable to 8GB via two memory slots. They also feature 500GB SATA hard drives and SuperMulti optical drives.

There are two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports as well as a multi-in-one card reader for reading the vast array of media available today. Embedded high-definition audio creates high-quality sound for videoconferencing and webcasts. Othr features include a built-in 1.0 MP HD webcam, Gigabit Ethernet and wireless 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.

The Acer Veriton VZ2650G-UG645X desktop is available for an estimated selling price of $629.99 and a one-year on-site warranty via Acer authorized resellers in the U.S.
