ZTE Unveils 5-inch Smartphone in China

Chinese handset maker ZTE showed off the Z5 smartphone on Wednesday in China. The new device has a 5-inch screen, a 13-megapixel camera and a quad-core processor.

The Z5 is part ZTE's new line of Nubia devices, the company said in its account on Chinese social networking site Sina. Weibo.

ZTE is currently the world's fourth-largest smartphone vendor, and saw 82.9 percent year-over-year growth in its smartphone shipments this past third quarter, according to research firm IDC.

The company expects to ship around 50 million smartphones in 2013, up from 35 million units it forecast for this year.
