Samsung Relases Jelly Bean Update For Galaxy S3

Samsung Electronics said Tuesday it has started Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) updates for its flagship Galaxy S3 smartphones that run on 3G networks.

Following the update for the 3G model, the company plans to expand the update for the latest Android operating system version to other products, such as the Galaxy Note and the 4G version of the Galaxy S3.

The company said the update enables new features such as "Google Now," which provides real-time information based on search habits or user location.

The Jelly Bean update is available via Kies, Samsung's mobile phone management program, or at Samsung retail outlets in South Korea.
