Chinese ZTE unveiled its first smartphone model using Intel
processors.
The company said on Thursday its Grand X IN model will mark
the start of a wider portfolio of Intel-based products. It
will go on sale in Europe next month.
The smartphone embeds the Intel Atom processor Z2460 with
Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, and support for HSPA+
21Mbps network with the Intel XMM 6260 Platform. It also
sports a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that
supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.
Otehr features include an enhanced 8-megapixel rear camera
with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video
recording. It also comes with the latest communication
capabilities, including Wi-Fi & Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and
Mobile HD link (via micro-USB) short range connectivity.
Dolby Sound and HD Video Capture features are included as
well.
ZTE claims the Grand X IN will begin shipping in Europe in
September, though the company did not reveal any details on
the phone's pricing options.
