Samsung has just released the Galaxy Player 5.8, a device portable Androis device boasting a 5.8" (960x540) display.

The Android 4.0 device is a media player and not a phone. It comes with 16/32GB of storage, a front-facing camera, microSD card slot, a 2,500mAh battery and a white or black casing.

Apart from its media functionality, a key feature of this new media player is the inclusion of educational software and study material called Learning Hub, especially courseware customized for Korean students.

Samsung has not disclosed the release data of the player outside South Korea.
