Google has offered to settle antitrust charges following a
probe by EU regulators investigating its business
practices.
Nor Google neither the EC have provided any details related
to the settlement proposal.
EU Competition Commissioner Joaquin Almunia set an early
July deadline for Google to resolve antitrust concerns or
face farges.
Almunia in May
identified areas of concerns
related to Google's business practices following an
18-month long investigation.
In November 2010, the EC launched an antitrust
investigation into allegations that Google had abused a
dominant market position. Google's rivals, including
Microsoft, accused the company of manipulating search
results and promoting its own advertising services while
demoting their rivals'.
