New Apps Coming On Nokia Lumia Smartphones

Nokia announced a number of new and exclusive application partnerships at CTIA Wireless 2012.

These include apps for live coverage of PGA TOUR tournaments, ESPN, Rovio (Angry Birds and new titles), EA (FIFA, Madden NFL, NBA Jam, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR, Mirror's Edge and Yahtzee) and Groupon.

A Tripdots app will help vehicle owners optimize their driving behaviors while connecting with other vehicle owners and sharing driving efficiency achievements via social networks.

PayPal and Nokia will also bring PayPal's payments capabilities to the Windows Phone platform and Nokia Lumia smartphones, globally.

The AOL Entertainment Hub will bring together the best of AOL's content on Windows Phones.

Time Magazine and Newsweek apps will also offer daily news on Lumia phones.

Finally, a new Windows Phone app from Box will be available to Nokia Lumia users this Summer. With support for nine languages, Box for Windows Phone will enable users across the globe to browse, search and share files from their account.

Nokia claims that more than 80,000 apps are already available in Windows Phone Marketplace.
