Logitech Unveils Full-HD Webcam, New Computer Mouse

Logitech today unveiled the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 as well as the Logitech Cube, a uniquely designed mouse.

Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 captures full-HD 1080p video for connecting with friends using Skype or in HD 720p for Windows Live Messenger. Thanks to H.264 compression technology, you can upload full-HD 1080p video clips or 15MP photos quickly and with one click to Facebook, Twitter or YouTube (account required). To enjoy 1080p HD video calling you'll need to download the latest version of Skype, Skype 5.7 Beta for Windows.

Logitech Fluid Crystal Technology ensures smoother video motion without choppiness, sharper pictures, and clearer sound. The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 also features Carl Zeiss optics and a 20-step autofocus.

The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in January 2012 for a suggested retail price of $99.99.

The Logitech Cube features a unique design that re-imagines what a mouse can be. When used as a mouse, the Logitech Cube scrolls when you swipe your finger along the main panel, thanks to Logitech?s Flow Scroll software that delivers a scrolling experience similar to a touchscreen smartphone.

To use the Logitech Cube as a presenter, all you need to do is lift it in the air and moments later it?s in presenter mode. Clicking the top of the mouse advances to the next slide, and if you need to go back simply turn the mouse over in your hand and click again.

The Logitech Cube also comes with the tiny Logitech Unifying receiver, featuring Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz connectivity and a small-enough form factor to stay plugged into your computer when you move around. This gives you the reliability of a cord with the convenience of wireless, along with the option to connect up to six compatible devices. Add a keyboard or a number pad, or even another mouse, without the hassle of multiple USB receivers.

The Logitech Cube is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in January 2012. It will be available online only at www.logitech.com for a suggested retail price of $69.99.
