YouTube has redesigned its homepage, channels and added new colors to make the popular web page easier for viewers to navigate and watch their favorite videos.

Google made it easier for users to find and follow Channels. On the left side of the homepage users can create their own customizable YouTube Channel line-ups. After signing -in to their accounts, users can browse recommended Channels; customize their homepage?s feed; even link their YouTube account to Google+ and Facebook to see what their friends are sharing. The new homepage feed Google launched earlier this year is now front and center on the homepage.

Google also launched an improved Channel design focused on helping users find great videos. As different uploaders have different goals, Google created new Channel templates to meet their needs whether they produce one video a week or have thousands of videos for a fan to browse.

To bring the new homepage and Channels designs together Google has also applied a fresh coat of digital paint across the whole site, which is based on an experimental design called Cosmic PandaIn released in July. The new design features a consistent gray background, bigger video thumbnails and a more streamlined watch page.

The facelift is the latest step in YouTube's attempt to make the Internet's most popular video site and also make more money by selling ads.
