Microsoft Signs Patent Agreements With ViewSonic, Acer


Microsoft has signed seperate patent agreements with ViewSonic and Acer, which includes broad coverage under Microsoft's patent portfolio for Acer's and Viewsonic's tablets and smartphones running the Android platform.

The contents of the agreements have not been disclosed. However, the Microsoft and Viewsonic indicated that Microsoft would receive royalties from ViewSonic under their agreement.
