Seagate At IFA 2011

Seagate will participate at IFA 2011, the world?s largest trade fair for consumer electronics and home appliances, in Berlin, 2-7 September.

The company will showcase its portfolio of hard disk drives and storage solutions, including its GoFlex family of external hard drives and its BlackArmor small business solutions.

Featuring prominently on the Seagate stand will be GoFlex Satellite mobile wireless storage, announced by the company in May and now available in Europe. The device is the first battery-powered external hard drive to extend wirelessly the storage capacity on all leading operating systems of any Wi-Fi enabled mobile device, including iPads and tablets running under Android and Windows, laptops, netbooks and smartphones. The GoFlex Satellite device?s 500GB capacity is enough to store over 300 high definition movies and it can wirelessly stream different HD content to three devices simultaneously.

Also newly arrived in electronics retailers across Europe and featuring on the Seagate stand at IFA is the Momentus XT Retail Kit for laptop computers. Adaptive Memory technology intelligently monitors frequently used applications and data files, then places them into the solid state portion of the drive so they can be recalled quickly. The retail kit will appeal particularly to gamers and to consumers who want to upgrade their laptop computers to a higher level of performance at an affordable cost.
