Verbatim Ships New SSD with SATA II Interface, Store 'n' Go Executive Portable HDD

Verbatim's new "Executive" Store 'n' Go Executive HDD offers USB 3.0, storage capacities of 500GB and 750GB and 256bit AES Hardware Encryption. For those who seek something faster, the company is offering a new range of 2,5" SATA II SSDs (Solid State Drive).

The new Store 'n' Go Executive HDD from Verbatim has a sleek design and is available in three finishes: Graphite Grey, Silver and Glossy Black. A special feature of the Executive is the sensor touch button; similar to touch screens, by lightly touching the sensor touch button on the hard drive, users can activate preset functions. The Store 'n' Go Executive HDD is available in shops from June.

With an obligatory password and the fact that the drive is managed by a security controller, all the data stored on the it is encrypted, ensuring complete protection from unauthorised viewing. The Executive HDD is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 systems as well and comes with Nero Back it Up and Burn Software.

As a HDD alternative, Verbatim is launching a new range of 2,5" SATA II SSDs (Solid State Drive). They provide data transfer rates up to 250MB/sec READ and 220MB/sec WRITE speed and include a 3.5" bay adapter and a power cable for optional desktop installations. Available now, they can be purchased from specialised shops and Value Added Ressellers (VARs) for €129 (64GB), €238 (128GB) or €470 (256GB) respectively (RRP).
