Samsung to Release 4G Galaxy Tab This Year

Samsung will introduce the 4G smart pad later this year. The company also plans to launch the "Galaxy S3" smartphone in the beginning of 2012.

In an interview with the US Dow Jones Newswire on May 30, Shin Jong-gyun, president of mobile business unit of Samsung Electronics revealed his plan to launch the 4G Galaxy Tab this year by saying, "The competition over 4G mobile communications has already begun, and it is impossible not to use the 4G network since the tablet PC (smart pad) deals with high-capacity content."

When it comes to the succeeding version of Galaxy S, president Shin said, "It will be possible to release Galaxy S 3 in the first quarter of next year."
