I-O Data Introduces BDXL External Drive


Just after Buffalo's announcement of releasing its own BDXL external drive last week, I-O Data today announced that they will also bring to Japan their BDXL Drive, the BRP-U6X.

Schedule to arrive in Japan at the end of April at 22,100 Yen, the USB 2.0 drive will burn BD-R XL discs up to 4x as well as BD-R/R, DL and LTH discs up to 6x, DVD+R/-R SL at 8x, DVD+R /-R DL at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5x and CD-R /RW at 24x.

The drive will ship in Japan woth Corel's WinDVD BD suite and Nero Exress Essentials software.
