Facebook Founder Among the World's Richest Billionaires


U.S. business magazine "Forbes" on march 10 released the list of the world's richest people on the planet, which inlcudes many people related to IT and computer industry.

This year's list broke records in size (1,210 billionaires) and total net worth ($4.5 trillion). China doubled its number of 10-figure fortunes, and Moscow now has more billionaires than any other city. Mexico's telecom king (Telmex) Carlos Slim widened his lead at No. 1 for a second consecutive year with assets of around 74 billion dollars. Microsoft's Bill Gates ranks 2nd with $56B, followed by investor Warren Buffett ($50B , Berkshire Hathaway).

Related to IT, the 5th place belongs to Oracle's chairman Larry Ellison ($39.5B), Google's Larry Page and Sergey Brin share the 24th place (19,8B) while Michael Bloomberg and Amazon's Jeff Bezos share the 30rd place in the world with $18.1B.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is also listed in the 53nd place with total assets of $13.5B. Microsoft's Paul Allen follows in the 58th place with $13B. Google's Eric Schmidt is ranked at the 136 place with $7B.
