Bing Launches Deals

Bing search engine said it launched Bing deals for the desktop and mobile (m.bing.com) ? giving users access to offers across the U.S.

Bing deals assembles leading offers from Groupon, Living Social, Restaurant.com and more, making it easier for users to discover, share and search for the best deals in their area.

Microsoft did not create a new software platform that would power the 'Bing Deals' and it partnered with The Dealmap.

"The Dealmap is a source for people to find and share the best local deals, so naturally it made sense for us to team up with them to bring you the best experience," Bing's director of product management said in a company blog post.

From m.bing.com (iPhone and Android), users will see ?deals? on the homepage. With one click, users will see the top daily deals featuring the very best offers in their metro area. A 'nearby' link also highlights places offering deals within a few blocks of where a user is located. Also users can browse by category or keyword - narrowing down the numerous deals to exactly what they're interested in. Deals can be saved or shared with a friend via email or be claimed directly with the deal provider.

Users can also get deals while searching at home on their desktop. Simply search the name of the business on Bing. If there is a deal, it will be displayed with a green deal icon.
