Toshiba Europe GmbH today announced its first range of LED-TVs with an integrated Blu-ray player.

With the integrated Blu-ray player, a LED backlit Full-HD panel with 1920x1080 pixels and an HD tuner supporting DVB-T and DVB-C, the DB833 series promises to offer a high-quality home cinema feeling. The new all-in-one devices also support CI+ for Pay-TV decoding and are able to serve as a media player to playback photos, videos and music directly from a compatible storage device such as a USB memory stick plugged into the TV?s USB port. To facilitate access to entertainment content a large selection of file formats including mkv, jpg, mp3, divX, avi, and mkv is supported. Besides the USB port, the DB833 also features two HDMI interfaces and a VGA port for PC input.

For consumers who already own a Blu-ray player Toshiba also offers models without an integrated Blu-ray player which provide a set of specifications that is similar to that of the BD series.

Toshiba's EL and DL series of LED TVs includes models with screen sizes of 47cm (19"), 55cm (22") 66cm (26") and 80cm (32").

All TVs provide a broad selection of connectivity features . In addition, the DL series also offers an integrated DVD player. All new TV sets will be available in black or white. The DL series with an integrated DVD player and the 47cm (19") and 55cm (22") EL series devices will be available across Europe as of March 2011.
