Panasonic Introduces New 3D BD Recorders in Japan


Panasonic updated its DIGA series of video recorders, which includes among 3TB HDD model with a triple digital TV tuners as well as a BD, BDXL and HDD Video recorder with a swappable HDD.

The DMR-BZT900 is the top of the line model is equipped with a 3TB HDD, 2 HDMI outputs and it is capable of recording up to three TV broadcasts simultaneously, using its triple digital tuners. Panasonic is also offering 2TB and 1TB versions of the device (the DMR-BZT800 and DMR-BZT700, respectively). All these models are compatible with Skype.

More affordable versions of the device include the DMR-BZT600 (3 x tuners, 1 x HDMI), the DMR-BWT500 (2x tuners, 1xHDMI) and the DMR-BRT300 (1 x tuner, 1 x HDMI). All these models are carriyng a 500GB HDD.



All the models support Blu-ray 3D playback, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, BDXL (100GB), BD-R/RE, DVD-RAM/-R/-R DL/-RW disc recording, 3D quality (depth) adjustments and SKY! HD recording. Other features include recording on SD cards, Ethernet, wireless LAN (models BZT900/800/700) and DLNA / DTCP-IP connectivity

Also, alongside these new models, Panasonic introduced the DMR-BR20, a BD, BDXL and HDD Video recorder that features a unique swappable 500GB HDD, the DY-HDD500 allowing you to store video on different HDDs.

Panasonic also released the DMR-BR30 Blu-ray disc recorder. It comes equipped with a terrestrial digital tuner and supports recording on BD-R/RE/BDXL media as well as on an optional 500GB HDD (DY-HDD500), which can be easily installed.



All the new devices will be available in Japan in late February.
