DVD6C commences Additional Arbitrations to Collect Licensing Royalties

Toshiba has filed demands for arbitration to collect royalties due under DVD6C patent licenses with Axiom Technologies Manufacturing Pte Ltd. ("Axiom") (Singapore), GDD Manufacturing S.r.l. ("GDD") (Italy), and Premium Disc Corporation ("Premium Disc") (Canada).

The DVD6C Licensing Group (DVD6C) is consisting of nine leading developers of DVD technology and Toshiba is their authorized licensor.

The latest three arbitrations are part of a global initiative by the DVD6C Licensing Group to collect unpaid royalties. These three new arbitrations bring the total number of arbitrations filed by Toshiba this year to ten.
