Editing Google Docs On The Go

The new Google Docs editor supports editing on a mobile browser.

Users that visit docs.google.com in a browser on a supported device will be able to select the document they want to edit. Then, when they?re viewing it, the Edit button will switch to the mobile editor.

In the next few days, Google is rolling this out to English-language users around the world on Android with Froyo (version 2.2) and on iOS devices (version 3.0+) including the iPad. Google will be also adding support for other languages soon. And as before, Google also supports editing of spreadsheets from a mobile device?s browser.
