I-O Data Releases Slim External 6x Blu-Ray Writer


I-O Data's BRP-US6 external Blu-Ray burner as been upgraded to now support 6x BD-R writing as well as BD-RE discs.

The BRP-U6 is now capable to burn both single layer BD-R and RE discs at 6x as well as BD-R DL at 4x and BD-RE (SL/DL) at 2x. It also burns DVD±R/+RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD±R at 4x, DVD-RAM at 5x and and CDs at 24x.

The lightweight (330g) and ultra-slim (137W X 154D X 20H mm) USB 2.0 drive will be sold in Japan later this December at around 22,100 Yen (US $265).
